Forests are very important to life. Trees absorb carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and release oxygen through a natural process called photosynthesis
Oxygen is essential for humans and animals to survive, while too much carbon dioxide in the atmosphere can harm the environment. Trees also store carbon in their trunks, branches, and roots, helping to reduce pollution and maintain a balanced ecosystem.
However, when trees are cut down, we lose these benefits. The air becomes less clean, and more carbon is released into the atmosphere. Over time, this contributes to environmental problems such as climate change and the weakening of the earth’s protective layer.
