A member of the press of RENARSA went out to have discussion with few students concerning the virtual classes going on in the University.
The following questions were asked and each student gave their opinions concerning the addressed topic;
And the following responses were gotten from some of the students in the faculty;
🔹Virtual class is indeed nice but stressful, it’s a disadvantage to me as a person because I prefer being in class physically with the lecturer teaching and also the 100 lvl students are not really organized on the zoom app. Also the aspect of asking questions during classes is not efficient because of this disorganization. I’m 80% against 2nd semester being virtual.

🔹Virtual classes have not being easy especially because of the factors that influence it like the availability of light, data etc. Yes, the virtual classes has both advantages and disadvantages. The advantages is that lectures can be taken from the comfort of our homes and it also allows multitasking like doing other things while doing lectures and not running from one lecture theater to the other 😂😂. And the disadvantages are the issues in the availability of light and data, bad network. Bad network can actually cause a lot of misconception between lecturers and students. I’m totally against going virtual for 2nd semester and as a stallite the differences I’ve noticed between physical and virtual class is that, during this virtual class we get triple of the assignments compared to when it was physical.

🔹This ongoing virtual classes actually work for some courses while it doesn’t work for some, for exampe; CHEM156,it could have been better if it was taught physically. Learning from the comfort of our own space is an advantage because we are free while the disadvantage is bad network, like being logged out during a class due to poor connection and not being able to join back because the class is already full. I’m 100% against 2nd semester being virtual.
