On Wednesday,April 1,2026,The Faculty of Renewable Natural resources(RENARSA),University of Ibadan held it second sitting for the 7th Assembly.
The Setting took place at the department of Forestry(300level class).
It was scheduled to commence at 4:00pm but due to Ongoing lectures it eventually bagan at 4:26pm.
Comrade Gift ogunjobi presented a report on Leadership training Classroom which was a two day training programme,27th-28th of March,2026 for Executives,legislators and class Reps.
She stated the reason for conducting the Leadership Training Classroom which was to build efficient leaders fit to carry out their various Leadership roles in the Faculty and their various departments.
The first Leadership Classroom took place on the 27th of March,2026 at 2pm and it was classified into three sections by 9 trainers,Firstly for Executives: 300level forestry class
Honourables:500level forestry class
Class representatives:Wem 300level class.
The topics that was treated on the first day were on Effective communication,Training on the rule of debate and also Training of legislators for Renarsa.
Moreso,on the second day of the Leadership training Classroom scheduled at 9:00am at the New forestry building,Two trainers was present,which were;The HOD of the department of Forest production and products,Prof Samuel Olajuyigbe and Miss Obepelumi .
The first trainer Prof Samuel Olajuyigbe presented a topic which was ‘Raising a collaborative leader for RENARSA while the second trainer spoke on the Topic ‘ The total leader(Self Leadership and Team leadership)’.
Furthermore the total number of people present during the first training was 42 while day two was 40 persons and a total of nine trainers were invited :The speaker for the 3rd AssemblyYusuf Is-Haq Oluwatimileyin ,The first Editor -in-Chief of RENARSA press Williams Gospel , Past President: Oyeniyi Israel,Speaker for 5th Assembly :Samuel Jokanola , Former General Secretary for Treeclub Ehikowoicho Egbouche ,and so on
The fee assigned for trainees was 1 thousand naira per person and the total money gotten after their registration was #43,000 ,#34 000 was gotten from supporters while #50,000 naira was gotten from Sponsors making the total accumulated money #122,100 naira and #4,900 was later calculated as being surplus.
Honourable Gift Oluwapelumi later stated some difficulties they faced during organising the Leadership training Classroom which one of which was the late payment of registration fees by trainees.
